I’m Amanda aka Remi
With over a decade of experience in the photography industry, I'm a seasoned photographer who is passionate about capturing photos of you that make you look and feel amazing.
Before embarking on my solo journey as a full-time photographer, I honed my skills teaching photography at a leading tech company. It’s there that I found my flow in communicating with such a varied clientele.
Since taking my photography seriously, my work has been featured in various publications, and I've had the privilege of traveling to over 25 countries, constantly seeking inspiration in diverse cultures.
As the first in my family to own a business, I'm incredibly proud to have built Remi Studio, a space where creativity flourishes. This year marks a significant milestone as I finally opened a brick-and-mortar studio in Tottenville, offering greater convenience for my clients.

While I specialize in photography services, my husband, Ruben, expertly manages our Peerspace rentals, ensuring a seamless experience for other creatives who utilize our studio space.

Giving back is a core value for me. I find immense joy in sharing my passion for photography with others. In addition to volunteering my time and services to my local church, I'm particularly drawn to empowering young people.
I believe that photography can be a powerful tool for self-expression and storytelling. That's why I dedicate time annually to teaching photography to underprivileged BIPOC high school students, hoping to ignite their creativity and provide them with valuable skills for the future.

What’s your favorite tv show?
I am a Grey’s Anatomy Stan, this will tell my age - I’ve been watching it since DAY 1. Close second favorite is SATC and truly have a deep love for New Girl in this season of my life.
How did you get started in photography?
Don’t laugh, this isn’t one of my jokes. I got started with taking photos during the MySpace era. I only had a point and shoot digital camera but even back then as a teenager I had the eye for photography.
If you weren’t a photographer what would you do?
Okay. I have this theory that I should have been a standup comic. I think I’m absolutely hilarious but really not in an obnoxious way, just in a “I could watch this girl tell stories for 40 minutes” way.
Where are you from?
I am a New Yorican. Which means I am Puerto Rican and raised in New York, originally from Brooklyn (like most of us) but now reside in Staten Island, NY.
are you a pet person?
I love your pets! Unfortunately, I have severe allergies that keeps me from having any pets of my own. Although I lost a cat in a divorce who was totally worth the Claritin pill everyday.
How do you take your coffee?
If you’ve made it to this part of my website, it’s only fitting that you know my coffee order. I LOVE a Spanish Latte which is : Regular milk, condensed milk, shot of espresso or if you’re trying to surprise me, light and sweet will do just fine.
